Too many Queenslanders are invisible on the streets.
Your donation helps them be seen.
Currently, Queensland has the highest rates of homelessness across Australia. When you're living rough and socially isolated, reaching out can feel impossible.
1 in 4 Australians are experiencing an episode of loneliness right now. So many Aussies need help, but are afraid to reach out.
What starts as a cuppa shared with our volunteers becomes a formed connection. A connection turns into community and community creates empowerment.
Your support keeps our vans on the street, and our volunteers at the ready. Together, we can ensure no one feels invisible in their darkest hour.
From a cuppa to community: how Toowoomba's outreach changed Paul's life
Rising cost of living impacts every Australian, but particularly those who are most vulnerable in the community.
For families like Paul's struggling to meet essential costs while raising six kids, Rosie's provides a vital community of support. Every Sunday our Toowoomba volunteers provide nourishing meals, essential groceries, toiletries, and a warm smile. This dependable presence offers families an anchor of hope they can look forward to.
With Rosie's, Paul not only receives support, but has a place where he can be himself. Our focus on building relationships helps people feel seen, valued and cared for.
This vital support makes a world of difference to the thousands of patrons we interact with. Your donation has the power to change the lives of families across Queensland.
Turning pain into purpose: Irene's story with Rosie's
At Rosie's Caboolture outreach, Irene is a familiar face and source of comfort.
Moving among the crowd with maternal warmth, she provides gentle conversation and open arms to everyone in need. From her own vehicle, she shares noodles, blankets, kitchenware, and warm jackets with our friends on the street.
Irene herself has been sleeping in her car or at shelters for years, being moved along through the Moreton Bay region. Her dedication to helping others is endless, from volunteering for Rosie's to rallying for others experiencing homelessness.
Your gift can continue to foster connections for communities, so people like Irene have somewhere to turn to.
Your gift has the power to change lives for the better.
In the last year, our friends on the street:
Shared 217,500 cuppas
Supported 87,000 people on the street
Shared 53,134 hours of friendship
“That is the ripple effect of kindness and it’s only possible because people like you choose to care.”
Thank you to all our incredible supporters!
Connection starts with you.
